Barcelona, March 2026 – At MWC Barcelona 2026, Comnect showcased its latest broadband access and smart device solutions, covering fiber connectivity, hybrid broadband deployment, and smart access technologies.
During the exhibition, Comnect highlighted its Wi-Fi 7 XGS-PON solutions, designed to support next-generation broadband networks and deliver high-performance connectivity for gigabit and multi-gigabit services.
Comnect also demonstrated its Hybrid GPON + 5G CPE solution, which combines fiber access with cellular connectivity. This solution allows operators to first provide broadband services via cellular networks in areas where fiber has not yet been deployed. Once fiber infrastructure becomes available, the same device can switch to GPON fiber access without replacing the terminal equipment, helping operators simplify network upgrades while reducing deployment costs.
In addition to broadband access technologies, Comnect presented its smart lock portfolio. The company showcased a smart padlock, designed for flexible access management in scenarios such as storage units, gates, lockers, and other shared facilities. Comnect also introduced a retrofit smart lock designed for the European market, which can be installed on the interior side of existing mechanical locks without replacing the original door hardware. This design enables users to upgrade to smart access control while preserving existing door structures.
Through these demonstrations, Comnect highlighted its expanding product portfolio across both connectivity devices and intelligent terminal products, supporting a wide range of broadband and smart access applications.
